Mountain Survival Bands

The King Cobra Band is the King when it comes to the amount of cord. On average the King Cobra has about 16 to 18 feet of paracord. Its nearly twice as wide as the normal cobra yet still fits well around your wrist with comfort to spare. The King is made by doubling the Cobra. Unless specified the edge color remains the same but for a different look you can specify that you want the colors reversed for the outside layer.

Reversing Colors : when you select to reverse colors the color you specify as the inside color becomes the outside color on the second layer of this band.  For example if you look at the product picture above the band on the right has been reversed.  It has neon green as the inside color and a camo edge color.  These colors reverse places on the second layer allowing the inner color of neon green to show under the camo on the second layer.  For a closer look at this click on the image above to see it better.

The cord used in all of our Bands is high quality, durable (450 to 550 pound test) and great in an emergency. When an emergency situation comes up you simple unravel the band and make use of the cord. If you use your band in an emergency situation, just send us what's left of your band along with your experience and we will make you a new one (shipping charges apply).

We offer three different types of closures for your band.

• The default closure is a Loop and Knot type closure. The Loop and Knot closure is made from the paracord with a loop on one end and a diamond knot on the other. The loop slides over the knot to hold it together.  The knot closure makes your band reversible.
• The plastic side release buckle is a popular choice for keeping your band secured to your wrist. Its easy to fasten and will hold up to all the bumps, scopes and pressure placed against it during your everyday tasks.
• The final closure option is the stainless steel shackle. The shackle is the choice for the person who really wants an extremely durable closure. Our shackles are very tough with over 500 pound working load, it can be used in an emergency along with your cord. The shackle is a little harder to fasten to your wrist but after a little practice becomes quick and easy. It lies flat on your wrist and will stay put until needed.  the shackle closure makes your band reversible.

To receive the correct size band, pick your WRIST size from the drop down menu. Please provide us with your actual wrist measurement. To measure, use a string to wrap around your wrist and then measure the string. Make sure the string is making contact with our skin all the way around your wrist and that the string is not tight or digging into your skin. Let us know this exact size. If you are in between sizes, pick the larger size. If your Band is to large when you receive it, you can shrink it down. Soak it in a sink a couple of times. Get it completely soaked and let it dry. Within a couple of days, it will shrink down by approximately 1/4".

Please keep in mind that the average wrist size for a male is 7" - 8", and average female wrist size is 6" - 7". If you are above or below these sizes, please double check your wrist measurement to confirm the size.
